Here are a few examples of things that may benefit from nutritional support:
NOTE, people with the following conditions CANNOT be accepted at this time: kidney disease; very recently diagnosed type 1 diabetes; AIDS; bi-polar; active eating disorder; those undergoing chemotherapy and those with some cancers in general.
I do not take insurance but some plans will allow you to use a flex spending plan or to submit receipts for partial reimbursement. It is up to you to find out what your benefits are.
The short answer is: that depends upon your insurance. The long answer is: at this time, they are not covered IF they are ordered by you or by me; however, with your permission, I can make a request to your primary care to order some of the tests related to nutrient needs, and whatever portion your plan covers will be covered because the request to the lab will come from a practitioner who takes insurance. You may also make the request directly to your doctor and then share the lab results with me in your private google drive folder.
